KFJ 6 – The Journey – Forgiveness and a Healing Heart

In this episode, I will center my thoughts on one of the vital topics in my life: forgiveness and a healing heart.

What is forgiveness? We hear about it and are asked to forgive or be forgiven.

Resources

I found a definition of forgiveness on a “Greater good” page. It says;

“Forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed us, regardless of whether they deserve it or not…. Forgiveness brings peace of mind and frees us from corrosive anger.

You can learn more here.

To. allow peaceand contentment in our hearts, it is so valid to forgive and embrace ourselves for whatever we have done or said.

“Many of us know that forgiveness is a good thing. It frees us from bitterness and anger, two difficult emotions that can disrupt our physical health and hold us back. Often we’re consistent about forgiving others, but forgiving ourselves is more difficult.”

Matt James stated on forgiveness.

My message. is connected to my previous episode about relationships.

Since I accepted Jesus Christ, I learned that relationships could only be mended through Him. The Savior is a healer of broken hearts. So today, I will share some quotes and thoughts concerning hurt feelings that inspired me. And how forgiveness can heal a grieving heart.

9 Wherefore, I say unto you, that ye ought to forgive one another; for he that forgiveth not his brother his trespasses standeth condemned before the Lord; for there remaineth in him the greater sin.

10 I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you, it is required to forgive all men.” D&C 64:9-10

Lyrics & Music

I am closing with a song titled “Chrystusie (Christ)”.

(poem written by Julian Tuwim music unknown)

Sung in Polish

I will come back to You

In time of sadness,Christ…

And when I’ll cry with sorrow

I will see You through my tears, Christ…

During of great sorrow

I will share my remorse before You, Christ…

And my Spirit will bow before You,

with a humble heart, Christ…
