KFJ 9 – The Journey – The Purpose of Existence

In this episode, I share some thoughts concerning finding my purpose in life.

Have you ever wondered who you are and what your purpose is? I did. At a point in my life, I had to find the answers to those questions.

Who am I? What am I doing here? And where am I going?

I am sharing some quotes and scriptures that had some influence on me. Ultimately, I share a song, “Rachunek Sumienia,” which means “Reckoning of a Conscience.”

Introduction: While studying and pondering one early morning, I woke up with a thought —an idea of our existence. Gaining a body, understanding mindset, and a spiritual aspect. This is what I am addressing in this episode.

“Christ’s coming was foretold for thousands of years. About 2,000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, Abraham taught about His role in the plan of salvation. About 1,400 years before His birth, Moses taught the same wonderful truths. About 700 years before His birth, Isaiah revealed the circumstances of His birth, life, and death:”

“We are told again and again that the body is the tabernacle of the spirit. We are told that it is a temple, holy to the Lord….”
…Does anyone think that the Spirit of God can dwell in the temple of the body when that body is defiled by… destructive elements?”

Lyrics

Rachunek Sumienia” was written while I still lived in Warsaw; it is about pondering and reflecting on daily events and, with a new day trying to make better choices and accepting new opportunities.
In closing, I play one of my songs in Polish, “Rachunek Sumienia” (Reckoning of Conciense)

The translation is:

At night when it is time to go to sleep.
At night when the sky is covered with stars.
You have time to meditate.
At night when your thoughts are flowing
At night you try to find answers to your questions.
You feel tired.

How many questions did you ask?
How many obstacles did you pass?
How much of your time did you give?
How much did you want to accomplish today?

In the morning, when you wake up,
In the morning, still hugging your pillow,
You have renewed desire for today.
In the morning, when you are leaving,
In the morning, you believe
that something important you will do today.

You have renewed desire for today.
There are so many things to be done,
There are so many things to discover,
There are so many words to be said,
There are so many hearts to be open.
